As we break into October and prepare for the fresh Autumnal chill, I thought I'd say farewell to the warmer months with some personal snaps of Spring and Summer that got forgotten in the hectic events of the past 6 months.
There have been weekends spent at my local pubs in Somerset, and with the glorious sun we've been spoilt with recently, the beer garden has been my favourite escape. Local cider with good friends and my boyfriend have been some of my favourite memories so far this year.

One of my favourite meals of the season - this pork belly at the Eypes Mouth Country Hotel in Bridport. Faultlessly delicious and enjoyed whilst overlooking the sea.
Lots of vintage boutiques are popping up all over the place at the moment and one of the latest places to hunt treasures in Somerset is in the town of Crewkerne. New addition to the town, Hart's is spread over three floors and is packed full of quirky gifts and antique gems, as well as a cafe where myself, my sister and my mum enjoyed a cream tea break from shopping.

This year has seen a lot of moving around. First my mum moved into her new house and then shortly after I moved to West Kensington in London. They were both wonderfully exciting moves indeed! I'm still trying to organise my bedroom but here's a little snapshot.

Sunday lunch at a Somerset pub truly is a thing of beauty.
And even better when you find a pub that has no boundaries on dessert potions!
When it comes to pub food however, nothing quite beats the menu at my favourite haunt, the Cross Keys Inn. The chef Holly makes the best burgers I have ever tasted, my favourite being this feast drizzled with chilli sauce.
The Cross Key's Inn went back in time a few weeks back in commemoration of the war. Everyone dressed in wartime clothing and listened to classic, live music whilst sipping vintage ales underneath military camouflage and parachutes.
My contributions to the Easter table took a back seat this year whilst I focused on finishing my degree. I did however find some little bunny cake toppers to sit pretty on top of my sisters favourite gateau.
I found some time to create these little chocolate nests using broken shredded wheat, melted chocolate and cadburys eggs.
I also whipped up these cupcakes and used the remaining eggs to adorn pink icing for some pastel prettiness.
This mouth-watering Victoria sponge was made by my sister for Easter and it was absolutely scrumptious. I've got some serious baking competition in my household!
So far it's been an exhausting year, and so much has happened in such a short space of time I am still getting used to the changes. This year's Autumn certainly marks the start of a new chapter in my life and I am so excited to see where it takes me!
